John is an American-born British comics writer best known as the co-creator, with artist Carlos Ezquerra, of the character Judge Dredd. Alongside Pat Mills, he helped revitalise British comics in the 1970s, and continues to be active in the British comics industry, occasionally also working in American comics. John will be returning to promote his latest book of Rok of the Reds – a strange and wonderful tale of the world’s first Alien footballer.
Jamie Delano has a long and varied career writing comics, including titles such as Hellblazer, 2000AD, Doctor Who, Night Raven, Animal Man and Shadowman. In addition to diverse comics work Delano has experimented with screenwriting and in 2012 published “Book Thirteen”, a novel. His new novel, “Leepus: DIZZY” was published in April 2014 and is available from his Lepus Books imprint now.
You may know Mike Carey from his record-breaking run on Hellblazer, or from the impressive Sandman spin-off title Lucifer. In fact, a fair portion of his output has been concerned with either Hellblazer- or Sandman-related stories; throw in the work that he’s done with various X-Men titles, and you get a fair picture of what to expect from this writer.
Hannah Berry is an award-winning graphic novelist, comics creator, writer, illustrator and editorial gun-for-hire. In 2018 she was inducted as a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and became the slightly grander ‘Hannah Berry FRSL’. Her graphic novels include BRITTEN & BRÜLIGHTLY, ADAMTINE and LIVESTOCK, which was nominated in the Best Graphic Novel and Best Writer categories at the 2017 Broken Frontier Awards, winning the Best Writer Award. Hannah is the UK comics laureate 2019.
Kev started his comics career in the mid-1980s, working as a penciller on the Marvel UK strip Zoids. Work for various titles followed, including Action Force, Doctor Who and 2000 AD, where he co-created the series Night Zero. He went on to a three-year stint as penciller for Iron Man for Marvel in the US. During his tenure, he co-created the character War Machine, who has spawned numerous spin-offs and made major appearances in the Iron Man movies.
Comic Artist based in Sussex. Worked on titles such as Futurequake, Dogbreath, 100% Biodegradable and most recently Rok Of The Reds alongside John Wagner and Alan Grant. Currently working on Judge Dredd for 2000AD.
THE ETHERINGTON BROTHERS
Robin and Lorenzo Etherington are British comic, book and film creators who work together as The Etherington Brothers. They are the creators of world's most successful art book of all time on Kickstarter, and the UK's most successful book of any kind in the history of Kickstarter, How to Think when you draw Volume 2, published in March 2019. They created the free online series of tutorials How to Think when you Draw (January 2017 onwards) and How to Think When You Write (January 2018 onwards).
